While having a stroll during last autumn I have noticed a bunch of sycamore pods falling, it is a truly genius natural design that allows trees to deliver it seeds to long distances. I had taken some of them home, to have a closer look. It shape is very pleasing to the eye I like how the lines flow from the seed to the tip of the wing. As it turned out, those pods shape and pattern had been an inspiration to many, and gave me an idea to create this set of knives.The biggest challenge was to emulate the the original but at the same time do make sure that final product would be practical.

Knife Maintenance
Knives that I make are made out of the high carbon Tools steel unlike the mass produced ones that you can find in shops that are made out of stainless. Thanks to it I can create the intricate patterns and my knives can stay sharp much longer, to keep it that way an adequate maintenance is required, please use clean them by hand with water and a mild dishwasher liquid. After washing, rinse with water dry with towel, and apply a little bit of kitchen oil on the whole length of the blade remove the excess with paper towel, store in dry place. If you follow those direction you will prevent rust and the edge will stay sharp much longer.
